Loblaws will be the official food sponsor of Air  Santa Claus 

In cooperation with "Dreams Take Flight" and Air Canada, 125 children will be chosen from selected cities across Canada, and will fly to DisneyWorld or Disneyland, to spend the day with other children, enjoying a fun-filled day in November or December.

The children will be chosen for their excellence in school, volunteering in the community, overcoming a serious medical issue, or making a significant contribution  to their community and inspiring others to do the same.

The flight is a reward for their hard work, perseverance, imagination, and innovation.

Loblaws will be the official breakfast provider for the early-morning flights, and can run ads spotlighting the accomplishments of the children.

Loblaws will be the official food sponsor of Air Valentine.

Every year during Valentine's Day week-end, an Air Canada plane - rather an Air Valentine plane will fly lucky couples from selected Canadian cities to Paris for a four-day week-end.
Local radio stations will hold contests to select the winners based on their written entries to a romance-themed question, such as "Where did your husband propose?" or "How did he pop the question?" or perhaps the story of an unusual romance chosen by judges.
Before their evening flight to Paris, a meal will be set up at the airport catered by Loblaws and Loblaws chefs. The lucky winners will fly off to Paris on full stomachs and the memories of a specially-prepared meal.

The company will hold blood drives in selected  stores located across the country twice each year.  The first event will be held on Thanksgiving week-end, and the second event will held on Valentine's Day week-end in February, from Thursday to Sunday.The events will take place under

There are three objectives of the blood drives.
1. The first priority is to solicit the maximum amount of blood donations from donors across the country. Blood can be stored only for a period of four months. Therefore three blood donation week-ends would be ideal. Perhaps the third week-end could be held on the July 1st Canada-Day week-end. In this way, we could cover the entire year.

2. The second objective is to provide customers the opportunity to fill-out organ donation forms, and be given information on the importance of filling out the forms. It only takes a minute to save a life.

3. The third objective is to provide information about bone-marrow donation and registration forms. We recently had a former colleague lose her fiance to leukemia, and the only way to save him was through a bone-marrow transplant. They ran out of time and now she has lost her high school sweetheart. Better preparation and more information might have saved his life.

Stores will promote food drives and act as the drop-off point in each community for food and supplies needed by those less fortunate. In  difficult times, we would be helping many people requiring assistance and providing the essentials to those in  desperate need.

   

Ralento.com's mission is to promote safe driving. Safe driving through positive rewards - rather than negative rewards. Loblaws will team up with corporate partners, and when a police officer stops a motorist not for driving badly, but for driving well, the motorist will receive an envelope. The envelope will  contain either a gift certificate from one of the companies, redeemable for merchandise at one of their locations.

Or there will be a ticket in the envelope, which will be used on New Year's Eve, in the annual LottoRalento.com New Year's Eve prize drawing, featuring a grand prize of $1 million, and assorted other prizes from corporate sponsors.


This will promote good driving, safe driving, save lives, and change the behaviour of drivers across the country.

People holding parties will have their parties coincide with the two-hour show, featuring top Canadian talent, and the awarding of spectacular prizes to people who have received tickets to the draw for safe driving during the year.

The company will institute a process of removing plastics from its stores, giving information to the consumer, and providing alternative ways of shopping.
We should not continue to allow plastics getting into our oceans and endangering the fisheries. The research is clear and the evidence is abundant - and the future banning of plastic bags has started:

Almost all food can be packaged in bio-degradable and recyclable containers. Shopping bags can be replaced with cloth bags. The future of our oceans is more important than the hurt feelings of a few plastic industry executives. Sometimes, in order to lead, we must take difficult decisions. It is time for us to lead and show the way for others.

In association with the seven Canadian NHL teams, Loblaws can provide leadership and goodwill for events in local communities, providing volunteers and assorted supplies to help out in towns and cities across the country along with the participation of NHL alumni players and current NHL players.
